Intro
So, I decided to start a blog! Fun right? My passion is writing, that I know without a doubt. Everything else seems to be floating in another dimension. I'm a stay at home mom to two boys, Tyler who is 5 and Ethan who will be 2 in October. I'm also married to a man I don't deserve. I believe God created me first then realized that my soul mate would need an abundance of patience, so here is Mike lol.
I can honestly say I'm content with my life. I love being a mom and wife. As a mom I used to be so hard on myself concerning everything! The worst is when you compare yourself and kids to other moms and kids. It's a relief when you finally realize that nobody is perfect and everyone has their own problems behind closed doors.
Being a mom and wife is hard work. A lot of self-sacrifice on things you would love to do. I used to be a very selfish person and I still have my diva moments lol, but I find my joy in serving others. When I make my kids their favorite meals or play with them, I'm on cloud 9. When I make my husband's lunch for work or watch him scarf down something I made from scratch, my heart is full. Then there are days when I hear things like "how about you do you for today?, you deserve better than this, you need attention and affection and you're obviously not getting it, wouldn't you rather do this instead?" I could go on and on with the lies I hear on a daily basis. But that's exactly what they are aren't they? The devil is here to steal, kill, and destroy, that includes your family and relationships. He likes to shake things up a bit. So you may ask, what do you do? I spend time in prayer and I spend time talking to my Father and Friend. I cannot express the importance on spending time with God everyday. I'm a busy person but if I don't MAKE time for Him, my whole day is shot. I get a selfish attitude and the kids act out because they mirror my emotions.
On that note, I will be talking a lot about God in my blog so if you don't want to hear it, don't read it. God is my life and I won't sacrifice Him for anything. I'm excited to share my story with all of you. Everyone has a journey and every journey teaches us things that can benefit others if it's shared.
